Our History
In 2007 I wanted to set up a charity that raised money and collected food and clothing and then send these parcels back to both South Africans and Zimbabweans in need. Unfortunately, opening a charity is extremely difficult and it turned out that as it would be such a small branch it would be better to volunteer with a bigger already established charity. Which in hindsight was a blessing in disguise as it forced me to put into action what I have always been talking about - bringing South African and Zimbabwean goods to the world on a fair trade basis where we pay the artists what they are due and then sell their work overseas, using 10% of all sales profits to go back into local communities.
I travel back home to both South Africa and Zimbabwe (with the occasional side trip to Mozambique) to both meet the vendors and then bring back the unique pieces you see on Zambezi Designz. My family lives in South Africa so they also ship pieces over as and when required.

I am so glad you visited Zambezi Designz and hope you will keep coming back to see all the stunning things we have for your home.
