The Shona people of Zimbabwe are well known for the stone sculptures and Shona stone work. A variety of stones are used however, the Zimbabwean sculptures that you will find on Zambezi Designz have all been custom made from Zimbabwean soapstone, a soft and fragile stone but very popular for its variety of color.
